    redirection

I would like a domain to just redirect to another domain where all my files are hosted, what is the correct way to do it and will it affect my rankings?

You can use Redirect or RedirectMatch:
    http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/show...88&postcount=2

I suppose it will downgrade your rankings but will move them back in a few months.
I'm creating trouble-free Apache, PHP, MySQL installer, WITSuite,
and use it to setup my development environment.
    Demo, support, contact. Questions?

If this is a permanent move use, Redirect 301. This will not affect your rankings. All the link juice that you have for the old domain will be carried to the new domain as well.
