Well my boss just arrived with a portable TV for friday's game. I've turned it on just to see the onion bag bulge, Italy are going home!!!!!!

I'm agreeing with the bookies, that the winner of Brazil vs England will winthe World Cup.
that game was mad , it has to be the most exciting match of the world cup so far , it looked like 11 Bruce Lee's out there at one time for there fitness , with abit of Football thrown in , they just never gave up.

Woohoo Korea! Awesome. If they could just believe in themselves from the start, rather than being nervous around teams like Italy, they could win the World Cup. After their equalizer, they ruled that game, even before Totti was sent off. That has something to do with fitness but methinks also confidence - they made a alot of silly mistakes, especially early on, which looked like they were just overwhelmed by Italys reputation.

As for Brazil and England....One word....Ronaldo.....HE IS UNSTOPABLE! Brazil will win the World Cup hands down. The other side doesn't have anybody good now that Italy is out
Is it such a suprise that there have been so many upsets in this world cup?
All the teams that have had big upsets (France, Argentina, Italy, Portugal) have one thing in common, the players that form the vast majority of these teams all play at the top clubs in Europe. It seems that fighting to win the top european leagues and competing in the champions league has really taken it out these players. Henry or Vieria, can't remember which siad they were absolutely exhausted when the premiership finished, in fact the French squad did very little training in the world cup build up just to try and allow their players to recooperate a bit.
People say how Senegal, Japan and Korea have improved, but I seriously think the exhaustion caused to players by having to play so many high pressure games in Europe against the best players in the world is the biggest factor in these upsets.
