Hacking a ubb... how do you get a column on the left?

I have a licensed version of UBB that I am hacking. Have installed a few typical widely available hacks.

But for the life of me, I can't seem to find the hack that permits a "non-message board" column down the left side of the page (typically links), next to the UBB. I see it on lots of UBB's but have not found it anywhere.

Anybody know what I am talking about and where I can find it? Thanks!

Aren't you thinking UB? I was unaware UBB HAD a template file. I found the answer to my question though thanks.
