pickup lines always deliver good laughs for me. I do a quick google research with "pickup lines" as the keyword and go to the top site of the result. they are always funny and I even take note of some to use later.

I was nine years old, strolling down the sand paths in an oil camp in the Sahara (Libya) when I was pulled under by a large caterpillar. It was the only active vehicle and I still managed to get overrun by it. Luckily, the sand saved me, otherwise I'd have been very, very thin by now...

Of course that isn't as funny as it is plain stupid.

I said it was stupid rather than funny. For me, looking back, the amount of idiocy needed to be overrun by a truck in the Sahara has some funny elements to it. But I may be the only one. Wouldn't be the first time.

at least now you can say you have been overrun by a truck!

i had lots of situations like that, can't remeber all of them right now.
only one comes to mind, when i was about 10 i ran into a lap post on a street that had 1 lamp post (i was looking forward), i was zoned out in deep though...

also my mom keep laughing at the time when i waited for a truck to arrive, to take away a in correctly parked car.
i stayed there for half an hour, looking through the window non stop.
then i suddenly notice that the car was gone.

i never did see the truck...

I self-published a book based on the stupid questions tourists ask at national parks, and several rangers sent me some rather amazing lists, including some bizarre telephone conversations. There were tourists who thought South Dakota's Mt. Rushmore had been sculpted by Ice Age glaciers and others who asked "Is the island surrounded by water?" or "Are all the caves underground?" People who visited Arizona's Petrified Forest National Park wondered where the forest was.

People visiting the USS Arizona Memorial in Hawaii wanted to know when the dolphin show began. Another asked how long the one-hour movie lasted.

One of my favorites was some historic site back East - the site of a Revolutionary War battle. Tourists asked who won - the Confederates or Nazis. Others asked who won the Revolutionary War.

Which reminds me of another funny item...the scene in the movie PeeWee's Big Adventure, where PeeWee Herman takes a tour of the Alamo. The guide droned on and on about this and that, finally saying Native Americans had thousands of uses for maize (corn) - "Each of one of which I'm going to tell you about right now!"

PeeWee endured the endless lecture, not allowed to ask any questions until the end of the tour. When it was finally over, he asked, "Where's the basement?"

The tour guide said, "Silly, the Alamo doesn't have a basement!" provoking a gale of laughter.

Haha, no problem. I still laugh everytime I read them! I love things like that.

I should have kept a diary of conversations I have had at previous jobs with my managers etc! I cant believe how stupid some people can be!

I mean, why on earth would PETA (the organization that stops cruelty to animals) send someone a catalog on knives and a picture of someone slicing some meat on the front cover! Did the customer not think "surely this can be the same organization!".
