phpmyadmin & loading csv vs .txt data
Normally I load txt files into mysql via the "insert data from a txt file" feature.
This has worked out well where there seems to be many/multiple inserts per single file and the txt files are being sent to me as email attachments from a single reliable party, one with which I have had no problem.
Also, I like the idea of the company ftp'ing right to my server instead of email attachments for security reasons. But, since the insert data feature scans only my local pc, how could a load be accomplished?
Is there a way csv is loaded with phpmyadmin or how is it typically inserted into mysql tables?
What's the advantage of csv over txt and vice versa?
