Creating a largescale architecture. In java you are forced in a objectoriented direction, but with PHP you can easily make bad code.

You can make bad code in Java just as easily. Being forced into OOP isn't a cure to bad code.

Making a script that works the very first time. Ok, I'm mostly going on about very large ones but even some of mine smaller email scripts have come up being croppers, it must be due to "PHP Blindness" where I cannot sometimes find that bug eventhough it's starring at me.

Depends on the project but often the worst part for me is trying to make code portable when configurations can very so greatly.

One more thing, I don't know if it's just me but I have a hard time coming up with names for variables or mysql query's.
