Question Host providing PHP in addition to ASP.net

Please move if not in right section.

Need recommendations or just names of companies that provide dedicated server packages with PHP in addition to ASP.Net. Or maybe I should say that the other way around.

I tried searching but came up with companies that provide PHP with Linux or ASP on Windows. Both have to run on the same server.

    Thanks.

P.S. The apache asp project is not an option.

Look for any host running Windows Server 2008, there are higher chances they will have FastCGI + PHP enabled along side ASP.NET. Plus IIS 7 in Server 2008 is just awsomesauce.

Every windows hosting service that I've used also offered PHP on the same server. Which makes sense. Why would they limit their service?

I don't know if this is normal and I didn't choose the hosts. I noticed that PHP was slower on any windows server than on any linux server for some reason.

Yea, that is correct. The PHP runtime is slightly slower on windows. But MicroSoft have a deal with PHP now to improve speeds quite a bit in a windows environment. But not sure when this will be done by

I 2 have never seen a windows host not allow PHP.

Will be closer to done once PHP 5.3 ships, it is being compiled with VC9 (Visual Studio 2008) for greater performance and stability with IIS. PHP 6 is going to be only compiled in VC9 for Windows.

In legacy terms PHP has been compiled in VC6 (Visual Studio 6).

    Hello,

If you get a Windows dedicated server you could install PHP and MySQL without any problems. To run ASP.NET on Linux server you should check the Mono project - http://www.mono-project.com/

Thanks for the information so far. I modified my search to include fastcgi + php and I've found a few sites.
