Streaming server

Hi, I'm looking for a streaming server to stream a few flv videos, some mp3s, 3gp, mpg, mp4. If we can get this with a single host it would be really helpful.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/recommendations or horror stories.

There are many hosts which offer streaming nowaday's. Just google and you'll find the right one.

Avoid a windows /IIS host as many don't bother adding FLV to the mimetype list (default IIS doesn't have this) = fail.
If you're not fussed about true random access streaming then you might as well use 'progressive download' streaming i.e just serve the file as normal on a normal web server, though be careful that the bandwidth allowance is sufficient so that a surge in video viewing won't take your site offline unexpectedly.

That is specific niche for the web hosting with own representatives. As it was said do the search for that kind of the web hosting. Also getting started form VPS would be good idea for the such kind of the project.
