    Affiliate links won't pass W3C

Hello, I'm not new to SitePoint but this is my first posting. I'm hoping someone is experienced with affiliate marketing links within W3C standards.

I created a site using XHTML and CSS. All of the pages passed the W3C validation until I added affiliate links.

Because the links include such things as the & character, without writing it in "amp&;" form, the W3C is showing each incident as an error.

With affiliate links the merchant usually stresses that nothing can be changed within the link if it is to work properly so I don't think I can change the characters to "amp&;".

    Would greatly appreciate any input

You can change the & to &, it doesn't change the destination URL at all. Click both versions of the link and you'll see the same address in the browser's address bar.

Dan, wow, thanks so much for such a fast response. I'll make the changes and do another validation.
