Lightbox problem- background not darkening

I'm not using Lightbox alone, but Suckerfish HoverLightbox Redux by Jon Christopher.

Here's the page I'm playing around with:

If you scroll down to the first two pups- Pup 1 and Pup 2, that's where I'm using the gallery "flyouts". If you select one of those photos, the lightbox window does pop-up, though the background does not darken.

I realize this page is a mess with the tables and such, it's just my practice page at the moment. I'd really like to get this to work as then I could just throw all the available pups in a list and dump the tables altogether.

I received a bit of help from a friend and it's now working fine in Firefox and IE8 but not in IE7.
