I can't believe I ate the whole thing

I would assume it will eventually be pushed out via Windows update, but am not sure.

I would assume it will be the same as how IE7 was released. Initially for the first few weeks (possibly) it will be simply a download on the Microsoft website, then after a month or so Microsoft will begin pushing it via windows update.

From what I have read.
Those using IE8RC1 will get the update to IE8 pushed to them some time in the next two weeks.
Those using IE6 or IE7 who don't download and install the corporate block will get the IE8 upgrade pushed to them once Microsoft decide that they have given the corporates time to install the block.

Is IE8 really good? or maybe just in time for Windows 7?
The right toll free number is your key to success!

IE8 has much better standards support, and has some interesting new features. But the lagging I am getting while opening new windows and tabs (due to its memory management) and the broken functionality which I have found – currently I have spotted 5 problems I am getting it is in no way going to change me from good old Opera but still... as upgrades go, it’s a vast improvement.
I haven't seen it on Windows Update, went and got it manually.

Hi my name’s Feran and I am working with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team to help provide assistance to folks about their Internet Explorer.
Felgall is right, Microsoft will wait a while before it begins to push IE8 to Windows users who have their computers set to get the latest updates automatically. RC1 users will be the first to be upgraded automatically.
So for now I would suggest manually downloading IE8: wwwdotmicrosoftdotcom/windows/internet-explorer/download-iedotaspx?ocid=ie8_sm_a
Let me know if you have any more questions or feedback.
Thanks,
Feran
