Do you know of any free file storage service that can be used for backups?

    Hi,

I'm looking for a file storage service that can be used for backups and allows FTP access.

Do you know of any reliable service that also offers a free account?

Maybe any simple free web hosting account?
But I believe that is not good idea. Free services are delivered to you BUT with NO GUARANTEE. And backups that is very serious. Why don't pay few bucks per month and have guarantees?
Backup solution became separate service nowadays and you can find that with no problem

    Thanks for your reply.
I should have been more clear in my post. I know about free web services but as you mentioned it's not the safest option. What I'm looking for is a backup service that allows FTP access and that has premium accounts but also a free account with limited space and bandwidth. I'm pretty sure there has to be something available since I have come across them but none with FTP access.

I'm also interested in knowing which service providers you might recommend, both free and premium.

    Thanks

Farid, why not just spend the money on a backup solution...I hear too often that "so and so" had "such and such" free...BUT...it stunk and or the expectations of something "free" were way too high.

Remember you get what you pay for...

I don't mind paying for the service.

Has anyone used a backup service that allows FTP access and can recommend it?
