    Null is not an object? Javascript conundrum

    Hey all, having a slight problem

    http://server52152.uk2net.com:8080/exc/

    Viewing it in IE6 brings errors that look a little like this:

    Error: 'null' is null or not an object

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    MC

    You've got this fixed? It loads in with no errors for me using IE6. Maybe your browser's "Internet Options" settings need tweaking?

    No, I went to the page you linked to.
    But when I go to "partners" I get the error.
    HTML Code:
        <script charset="utf-8" language="javascript">
            function bindForm() {
                $('mainForm' ).observe('submit' , function(e) {
                    e.stop();
                    new Ajax.Updater('resultOfConversion' , this.action, {
                        method: 'post' , parameters: this.serialize()
                    });
                });
            } // bindForm
            document.observe('dom:loaded' , bindForm);
            document.observe('dom:loaded' , function() {
                new Ajax.PeriodicalUpdater('parsedNewsFeed' , 'newsparse.do' ,
                { method: 'post' , frequency: 300 });
            });
        </script>
    The script is looking for "mainform" but there isn't one on that page so it has no properties.

    You can either only put that code in the pages that use it, or modify the script so it only adds the event handler if "mainform" exists.
