I'm putting together an online form that incorporates a couple of pulldown menus. The second menu's options are dependant on which catagory was selected from the first menu. A similar problem was posted in the Web Design forum, and I found part of the solution. I got a script from: http://www.webreference.com/dev/menus/
and have modified to fit my situation. But the problem I am having is I believe the script is using form tags to separate/locate the different menus. Well, since I have these menus in a form, then nested forms are causing problems. What can I do/change to fix the problem (i.e., get rid of the extra forms). Here's the url to the page I'm working on http://www.smokinbrews/com/cgibin/fon00form2.html
    TIA

The script assumes that the drop-down containing the subcategories is in a different form from the drop-down containing the categories.

At a glance, the line in the script responsible for saying "look at the next form" is the following:

formNum++; // reference next form, assume it follows in HTML

If you comment out this line (// at the beginning of the line) you might be able to trick the script into looking for the subcategory drop-down in the same form, thus removing the need for multiple forms.

If this doesn't work, you may want to contact the original script author, or post in the Trading Post for help, as altering a script of this complexity is a lot to ask.

Thanks for your help. Commenting out the line just gave my an error. Oh, well. Nothing like jumping in with both feet without looking . I've just started learning JavaScript. I've got a couple of other ideas that may be simpler to implement.
