Dash Separated Domain Names

my experience has been that people forget the dash and where they need to put it. why give your comp your traffic?

I recently purchased a two keyword domain name (dot com). It revolves around the Ruby programming language. As I like the hyphen for this particular area, I actually ended purchasing a number of domain names where I've reversed the keywords AND not included the hyphens. All bases are covered, from a naming point of view. I will develop the hyphen version of the name and the others will have re-directs in place.

In this instance, the debate whether a hypen is useless or not is irrelevant.

I do not support dashes.
Many people find it difficult to locate it on their keyboard, lol.
It is always better to get a name which one can remember with ease and short.

As i may see, search engines may easily parse KWs without dashes - as they highlight them in SERPs.

As for users, i think, no dashes is better.

there used to be a benefit to doing this 5-9 yrs ago in search engine but it seems the engines have started to either treat both equally or even prefer the non dash versions.

Having dash is not a bad idea especially when you have two letters that are same. E.g. Summersshow.com - There's a double s and it would be better if it was Summers-Show.com
