Anyone here have a Geocities site back in the day?

If you've had an old free Geocities website, tell us what it was about. Do you remember the URL? What "street" were you on?

C'mon, don't be embarrassed, we're all friends here.

    ---

Mine was collection of quotes and "musings". No one ever went there. I don't remember the URL.

Yeah, I had one. I can't really remember what was on it, but of course it was "The Best Website In the World Ever" or something like that. Sure, no one ever went to it. The main thing that I remember was that I linked to my two "neighbours" - the websites either side of me in terms of numbers on the Geocities "street" that I was on...

I had a geocities website, I used it as a "playground" for messing with examples in books when I learned HTML and CSS. I never used it as an actual website to provide any actual services, lol.

I had a geocities website that I used to practice what I was learning on and experiement with. I am almost too embarrassed to admit what the URL was ... my two kids made it up for me ( mustardforbrains.com) because we used to use 'mustardforbrains' as a username for online games that we signed up for.

Yes, I had one when I first started out. The first couple of hundred pages of my current site appeared there first before I got the site established well enough to work out that I could save thousands of dollars a year by moving it from there to paid hosting.

I had one too and I think I had a "how to run a cleaning business" page on it and you could send for a report. I sold some copies-lol.
