online directory
I'm looking to create a directory website for a certain country (not USA). Is there an API currently available for this? What features can I integrate to drive more traffic to the site as well as make some passive income?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

What do you mean when you say API? Are you wanting to import links from an existing source maybe.
Passive income from a directory would normally come from either advertising or paid link reviews.PHP Link Directory Script -easy to create and profitable too

Importing links from an existing source would be one aspect of the site which I am also not sure how to go about. And, the API that I am referring to is an open-source program that I can use to build the website on top of (similar to what is available for shopping carts.) This website will be a type of yellow pages directory.
