"visited" state for doesn't work in browser

I typed this in my CSS file:

a:link {
color: black;
}

a:visited {
color: gray;
}

But when I opened the web page in Firefox browser, the link color stayed black after clicking the link. I opened with Epiphany browser, and it worked fine.

Did I do something wrong? Does Firefox not recognize the term "visited"?

Oops. The problem was with the browser history. Problem solved. Sorry.
