    Revenge of the Access Timestamps....

    arg those access timestamps reared their ugly heads on me again....some of you may remember creole's thread:
    http://www.sitepointforums.com/showt...ht=access+date

    so, i was ripping my hair out trying to get a time stamp into a table....turns out that ACCESS don't like fields to be named 'timestamp' (must be reserved).

    i renamed my field to time_stamp and everything is fine.

    so....for the record, this works:

    <cfquery
    name="qAddOrder"
    datasource="some_poor_access_db">

    INSERT INTO iorders
    (oid,time_stamp)
    VALUES('#oid#',#CreateODBCDateTime(Now())#)

    </cfquery>

    forgot to say this occurred on a convert from a FOXPRO database (ewwww) to ACCESS. foxpro allows TIMESTAMP as a fieldname.

    so, i'm sure its a fieldname to be avoided, its probably a reserved word in other DBs too (and everyone else probably already knows this )
