    access the same application thr' another system on network using windows XP

    i have a asp.net application developed in vs2005 and its working fine on local system using local host
    i have mapped this folder thr' IIS and want to browser the same pages / application thr' another system

    but i am getting page cannot be displayed error

    how do i access the same application thr' another system on network using windows XP

    when you say 'another system', are you meaning another workstation on the network? If so, you'll need to create a virtual directory in iis that points to the location of the website. Then, you can access this from any other workstation on the local network by browsing to the following address: http://ipaddressOfWorkstation/virtualDirectoryName or http://computerName/virtualDirectoryName

    You should give properly security permissions so the site could be executed from the second machine.
