Ajax -- i have no clue what to do

Alright so i have no knowledge of Ajax or JavaScript so i need a ton of help or a already pre-build script that can implement into my php mod.

Basically what my mod is, is a comment mod that is placed in user profiles
here is a screen shot.


Rite now the mod refreshed the page after the query is submitted but i have a request to use ajax to get the new data instead of refreshing the page each time a comment is submitted.

How is this done and is there a script pre-built to do this?
