    Damn April Fools,
I have two plaied on me of what I could remember.

First was at 1am, when I was woken up in a rush saying I was late for school. I Got dressed, washed and everything !!

Later in life, was the same getting woken up being told that America has bombed London, then they said "Put News On" and ran downstairs. WTF!

One year I told some friends that I bought a hot air balloon. Before I started, I did some quick research on the price of a used one, some of the specs, and the legality of flying one in the area so it would sound like I knew what I was talking about. I was enjoying that way too much and I got a couple of people either excited or confused about the whole situation. What a dumb thing to lie about. Maybe that's why it worked.

The worst April Fool's joke I ever pulled was in 2005. I had just launched a fan site (complete with a forum) for a game I like to play earlier that year, and on April 1, I sent an email to all my forum members telling them that they had been banned for violating the forums' guidelines.

What made it worse was that I told them the reason for their banning (the rules they broke) could be found at the end of the email, which was separated from the main text by a LOT of line breaks. The reason being of course that they were the victim of my first ever April Fool's joke on the site. (And yes, I did tell everyone they were not banned, but instead the victims of my own twisted sense of humor.)

The scary thing? I got a lot of new members from that stunt.

It wasn't April Fools, but still considered the same type of prank. During the 2000new year, my friend and I turned of all the breakers of her house exactly at midnight. Everyone had been talking about the turn of the century and what would happen. They thought it really was the end of the Earth! Maybe not the nicest thing I've ever done, but we got a good laugh and still talk about it every new year.

Years ago as part of a morning radio show prank, I broadcast that Michael Eisner (then head of Disney) was looking to buy the antebellum mansions in our town to make another amusement park. Several people called to say they had seen him snooping around. "I knew that was him!"

I told my boss I was going to quit unless he doubled my salary..after he agreed I kept the April fools part to myself lol...that actually never happened.

OK but one time I was planning on using PHPMailer to send the corporate office an email from the CEO saying that tomorrow was casual day. I ran it by the CEO to see if he would get pissed if I did it, he said, actually do this: I made the email come from his brother (the other president of the company) and I sent it to an employee (who was like a clean freak) that we need to have a meeting about his poor hygiene. It blew up in our faces though and his brother didn't think it was too funny.

Best April fool’s day joke I heard was in here when someone suggested that SitePoint should set its logo to the dancing baby animated GIF.

    My favorite one is:
some years ago when we are in college...

A beautifull girl comes near to me and said, "I love you"...

I am very much serprised that how can it possible that I didn't know about it and every one ask me that how can it possible too?

    Then she shouts, "April fool"

that kind of lights joke are good to have fun in life but the joke about some disaster or accident like things are not good because it can heart som one....

I told my girlfriend of three years that I just found out I had a kid from a past girlfriend. That was well worth the trouble I got into later for it.

I've been the victim of a few April Fool's jokes but never pulled a good one off myself. I'm thinking of what I could do this year... any suggestions?

Yes it is, but the results of this survey will appear in the April newsletter. You need to look at the big picture.

Planning is good, but I've got St. Patties Day on my mind.

It depends, you want real revenge, or just a vanilla prank.

Oh me too! I thought to mention it in the newsletter, but just wasn't sure if it would work for an International audience. Unfortunately, the whole world isn't of Irish heritage!

We don't do April's fool in Spain... we have our very own day, the 28h of December, the Day of All Saints.

The best joke I've ever seen was a Memo sent to all staff. The memo was related to the usage of dirty and not-very-polite words in the office which were used too often in the working enviroment. The memo had a good number of examples, and suggested better ways of doing the same comments.

It was so well written that everybody thought it was true. It wasn't till the next day that we received another memo saying "do you remember yesterday's memo? It was a joke!"

My wife took one of those home pregnancy tests but used a blue pen to color in the line that indicated that she was pregnant.

I got her back the next morning by modifiying a lottery ticket with a razor blade to make a winning $1.00 ticket look like she won $100,000.
