Smile Need input and guidance on building an ezine...

    Good day everybody...

Well I am building an ezine which I would like to do the following:

    - I would like to be able to custom design static pages that I could rearrange over time without having to redo any dynamic template functions and possibly pull in some dynamic content on these pages like highlights but have full control over where those highlight show up.

    - I also would like some pages to have a nonbloggish look but have the managing capabilities of sequential posts and archiving.

    - Then possibly have an actual blog section where people could post.

    - I would also like a possible forum plugin and events plug

    - I want to be able to upload video and audio

    - I want to be able to use this template (without the content style) http://www.powerbitwebdesign.com/cli...elos/index.php

    - I am a newby and need a good introductory cms to learn something with good doumentation.

    - Also want to learn a package that is easy for clients to learn and use

**** Please if you have advice, please do share! I await your thoughts...

Many people like Word Press. Can I do the above with Word Press? What are the other options.

p.s. if you have links to get me started with developing with Word Press, please post them. Also feel free to comment on Joomla and Drupal and any other CMS out there.

You can do just about everything you want with WordPress. I would caution you from starting with Joomla and Drupal because they take more expertise. They are both good though.

I think Wordpress is your best bet. You should start with that, because RussAdams is right: Joomla and Drupal are a little advanced in relation to newbies. Wordpress should offer all of the plugins you need.

To be honest with you, I think you might have to learn a thing or two first if you are trying to accomplish all that. Wish you the best of luck.
