    Audio Editing with FFMPEG

One of my client want me to create an online audio editing script using PHP/FFMPEG/Mencoder or any other. He wants to join two mp3 files, edit files with timing, add bass, equalizer etc.

But I am not sure whether its possible?

    Can anyone comment on it?

Bsically just look for any command-line based audio editor. An example is SoX...

Works on all platforms as a bonus. Not sure though if it does everything you need it to do.

PHP isn't really a good tool for this for a few reasons.

I think the major one in terms of usablilty is that people would want to hear the effects right away, not have to download the song but listen to it live etc.

For that reason, I'd recommend a client-side control but obviously more powerful than JavaScript - So really you'd be looking at Flash or a Java applet.

I have a feeling this ones not going to be an easy task.
