Big-Boards.com using custom programming?

On Big-boards.com I noticed it is showing exact same no. of posts and same no. of members as the forums currently have.

When any forum was submitted there it must had less posts and members but now it is showing the current no. of posts and members.

Does anyone know what kind of script they are using to get the latest stats from submitted forums?

I didn't click every link, but all those forums seem to have the number of threads and members listed somewhere on the site. A simple regular expression could pull those numbers out of the text just by retrieving the front page of each site on a regular basis.
