stats help, wtf???

for some reason i have alot of sites giving me hits, yet they have no link of me on there, and sites in other langauges, even a warez site... wtf is going on

Hi there,

I think you might find some problem with your stats system. It is obviously not your page. Some one could of been playing a joke on you or some how accidently you have some elses page.

huh? well yeah, my stats might have a problem.. but i checked the stats myself via Analog


AND i get the same stuff from webilizer! Two diffrent stats programs

They're giving you hits, not page views. A hit is an http request, generated by ever image, page, download, movie, whatever. One page view can generate 10, 20 hits. Log Analyzers report total hits, not always total page views.

They're probably ripping your images most likely. Using up your bandwidth. Look for a tutorial on stopping hot-linking (or hotlinking), or you could just ban their IP addresses.
