Which is the best CSS Book to teach web designing with CSS?

    Hi people,

I am a print designer trying learn web design. I have read several CSS books but I don't get to understand exactly how CSS works. I can only grasp the basics but when it comes to details I see "stars".

Please someone advise on the best book that I can buy or the best methods that can follow to make me understand CSS.

    Thanks.

That's going to depend on your knowledge of HTML. If you know how to work with semantic HTML markup (using the right tag for the job, rather than relying on tables or DIVs for everything), then "HTML Utopia" or "The CSS Anthology" (both by Rachel Andrew) would be perfect for you.

If you don't have that knowledge, or are just starting out, then "Build Your Own Web Site The Right Way" by Ian Lloyd will be essential.

All three titles are available right here on SitePoint in the books section.
