    simple cms

I'm new to web design but have recently built a site for my father who is an actor. It is a straight-forward performer site with current projects, biog, cv, show reels etc. I have been thinking about building a very simple online CMS so that my dad can update some of the content on the site himself. The site is built on a php template with some dynamically generated content to make updates easy. I've got my head round how I could use a database and php to update and upload some content, but is there a way I could do without a database?

You can save the content in a file instead of a database..

Not sure how you could do this w/o a database, but this is something you could easily do in Wordpress.
