    Creating graphical overview

I have a database containing network solutions with all relations (routers, switches, connections, firewalls etc.). I want to make a graphical overview (on the fly) of the components and their relations within a PHP web site. Any suggestions?

I've considered the gd library. But got a feeling that it's hard to get a good looking output. And it seems like it's a lot of work to just get the relation layout to look decent.

Maybe some kind of mindmap generation is the way to go? But I have not found any code to use with PHP (or trigger from PHP).

Hi Hoff-Z, welcome to the forums,

It's by no means the only graphing library, but I've used the PEAR Image_Graph package with satisfactory results. For an idea as to what it can do, check out the example graphs http://pear.veggerby.dk/samples/

I believe the Graph component in eZ Components provides a network/organisational chart function, though I couldn't swear to it.
