    Auto forwarding

    Hi

    I have an old html site which is now redundant as the new club admin has changed the web addy. I just wanna change the index page to auto forward to the NEW page until i used the web space for something diff.

    Is there any code that will do this for me

    Hi Mungo D,

    You can do it this way using pure HTML:

    Place the following HTML redirect code between the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags of your HTML code.
    HTML Code:
    <meta  HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.yourdomain.com/index.html">

    • content="0" is the time to do the redirect; set at zero (0) it will almost be instant.

    or using php:
    PHP Code:
    <?php
       header
    'Location: http://www.yoursite.com/new_page.html' ) ;
    ?>
    • This has to go at the very top of your redirect page without comments or any other type of code above it.
