    SidePanel Help

    Ok, this is my first post as I am new to websites, dreamweaver and CSS. Here is my problem.

    I have everything inside of a container.

    I have space on the left and right of the main container...

    I want to add either a CSS or table in these empty areas so that I can put advertisements on each side.

    Every time I add either a table, or a CSS style, it looks fine inside of dreamweaver, but displays at the bottom of the page (below everything else) inside of a browser... I have tried everything, but i cannot get it to display on the sides instead of the bottom.

    ANY help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    THANK YOU IN ADVANCE...

    Brian

    Hi Brian,

    You would be best to post your css and html code so we can take a look.

    Another idea, which will likely benefit you more is to download a free CSS template that most closely matches your requirements and study the css and the xhtml - you will learn a lot about it, these templates are not obfuscated with very much content so they are easier to use than firebugging or view source and find css files.

    You can find many free css templates by googling free Css templates. Truth be told, we, although being experienced in CSS designs we started to begin with free templates and modify them as it is often quicker than rolling our own - although now a days we are really using a library of our own css templates.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Steve

    try adding the style
    Code:
    float:right;
    or
    Code:
    float:left;
    to your side divs. Can't help much without your code.
