    MissingSourceFile in SayController#hello

    Hi all,

I've just downloaded rubyonrails/gems and I've successfully run the test app which brings up the Welcome Aboard page.

However when I attempt the very simple hello world output I get:-

    MissingSourceFile in SayController#hello
    and
no such file to load -- sqlite3

I originally loaded everything in WAMP about a year ago for php/mysql and this contains sqlite 2.8.17.

Do I need to redownload the WAMP again or can I just download sqlite3 by itself?

    Would appreciate any suggestions.

    Thank you.

    Dermot.

    Hi all,

    I've finally got things working.

For anyone with a similar problem this might help.

    Download sqlite3 from rubyforge.org.

Apparently on the latest version of sqlite3 which as of now, Feb 14th. '09, is 1.2.4 there is, so far, no binary of sqlite3-ruby 1.2.4 compiled for win 32. So you must install version 1.2.3 instead. It seems there is no practical difference between the two versions.

    So run:-

    gem install sqlite3-ruby --version 1.2.3

I gleaned all of the above from a post on stackoverflow.com

    Kind regards,

    Dermot.
