Aligning Tables

This is a small problem but one that I have not been able to solve. Here is my site http://empinc.has.it just under the poll where the 2 pictures are, I need that to connect with the poll but I presume because of the shoutbox it wont allow it any help would be greatly apprecaited.

hey Empty - just a guess, but you might try closing yer TD's "on the same line," e.g.,

Move the </form> tag for the poll to inbetween the </td> and <td> tags. For example:

  </tr>
</table>
</td>
</form> << HERE
<td width="160" colspan="1" rowspan="2"> 

If that doesn't work; try moving the </form> tag to somewhere on your page where you don't mind there being a small gap.

w00t, thanks it worked but it sucks that it creates a space.

By moving the form tag into a table (or another invalid position) you manage to remove the space it creates. In turn you have created another problem for yourself, your HTML markup is no longer valid.

As browsers evolve they will, hopefully, not tolerate invalid markup.

Instead of using invalid markup to overcome browser implementations, try using the following css:

form {margin:0px;}

That will accomplish the same thing and still leave you with valid markup.
