MySQL Raw DB Files Question

Hey all i have files here:
/mnt/usr/local/psa/mysql/var/yard

this is the RAW DB files for a MySWL DB i had on another drive. is there any way to move these files to the new drive and have mysql recoginize it?

i *think* you can just plunk it in the data directory of the mysql directory and it'd automatically be available... just make sure you don't copy the 'mysql' database over too and don't overwrite anything unless you're absolutely certain (but i'm sure you already know this )
