If its a non profit always go with .org

There is a lot of face value with .com .. so if you can go with that.

If .com is not available , use .org as the second option, search engines loves .com, compared to .org

They do not include that for the consideration what domain name that is COM or ORG. Just stop panic about that.

You probably have a better chance of getting a nice domain name with org since this is nearly impossible for com these days. However, I did like the times when org was reserved for organizations and non-profits.

The semantic value of the different types of domains is getting lost if now more and more commercial sites start "posing" as "orgs." E.g., health care related web sites that want to sound "neutral" only to push a product. I used to like it when org domains were reserved for organizations. Now everybody can get them.

And that's what held this ext. back for a while. When they opened it up for anyone to reg these, the tld eventually started picking up value as more site used these and available names started to get scarce.

org domain is better than info but if you site is related to an organization this its okay, otherwise if you have commercial website you can choose com domain.
