I use CuteHTML regularly because dreamweaver and some others you mentioned are just bit expensive. It's bad though, globalscape discontinued the product

Doesn't Globalscape still provide the prodcut as part of the CuteFTP Pro client?

Far Comander's text editor + html plugin for it. Customizable html tags, symbols, pretty much all I need, save for a spellchecker.

My favourite is CoffeeCup I have tried FrontPage and Homesite and CuteHTML and I do still use NotePad++ and MetaPad and EditPad (I like to do my code manually lol) but I never really liked those WYSIWYG programs like FrontPage or Homesite ..

Notepad++. Netbeans 6.5 crashed today, besides that it was unbelievable slow. Perhaps on a 8gig mem 2tb hd netbeans will run smooth ( when lucky ).

I use Dreamweaver at work, Crimson Editor at work, and I have Notepad++ running as a portable app on my USB Flash Drive, for when I need to edit my work on the road.

I use Dreamweaver Code View and TextPad.

Everyone keeps telling me to try NotePad++ over TextPad. Is it better?

I am not usually one to recommend one editor over another because each person has their own way of working and thinking but I really love Notepad++, itís not so much the simplicity and versatility of the program, but it has such a wide variety of plug-ins which give it extended functionality that it makes my life a lot easier.

Netbeans 6.5 (2nd try). The speed is much better when the memory usage is above 70/80 mb, but often it drops below 40/50 and then it is terribly slow.
