    Why won't my links work?

I am just starting out learning to build a website using the book Building your own site the right way by Ian Lloyd. I have got to the bit where you add links between the three pages. When I type in the code exactly how it is in the book it does not work?? I have even copied it from the example document I downloaded - it works in the example document, but not in mine even when I copy and paste the code. Everything else I have done so far has worked and this has frustrated me for the past two hours - help please

Hi and welcome to the forums

Can you post the code you are using so we can see if there is problem in the scripting?

    Cheers

The forum won't let me display the code as it might be a link to another site and unless I have 10 posts it won't let me show it - anti - spam reasons

A link to a page named page2.html in the same directory should look like this,
    Code HTML4Strict:
    <a href="page2.html">second page</a>

You shouldn't have any problems posting code like that, unless you have an absolute URI.

My links didn't work either. I figured there was a glitch or something. I'm still going through the book and hoping that when I actually start to create my own website, I don't have the same problem
