    It's ok if you find it fast. When it's something simple after doing a lot of work, it's just evil.
    doesn't get eviler that that, paul probably feeds on such evil.

    Stormrider
    I found the solution after a quick google search, took about a minute
    same here.

    i hope the clue doesn't make it too easy for some.
    (because i also feed on some evil)

    My google-fu is pretty bad actually, but my search had 99% filters and JS, except for the certain steaming pile (which I think has the answer).

    Does that "steaming pile" happen to be the site of a certain well known Englishman by the name of Stu ? - if so, keep looking, 'cause the answer is in there..

    That's my guess too.

    The answer is also in the Test No. 2 in this series.

    Don't get me wrong, he's brilliant in figuring out how to do things in CSS... but I hate the way he writes code. It's hair-tearing (maybe deliberately so?).

    I have a hard time desifering most peoples code. I often have to stare at it longer than I should have to to make sense of it. I know Stu's demo stuff is in the demo CSS, but I still have a hard time trying to figure out where all the code is. I like "seperate/independent" demo pages. That's the way I do most of mine, for that reason.

    Entries are still arriving and had an entry from Ornette for Quiz A at level 3 - well done

    Also received an entry from 2009site2009 for the quiz B which looks good in Firefox although a little stretched in Ie6

    I must have received about 30 entries all told so well done to all who have taken part.

    I will post some of the solutions on Thursday/Friday although I guess by now most of you have worked them out anyway

    I believe I have one other entry with a slightly similar approach but all the others are using the usual method (more or less).

    SecretAgentRege has also supplied a safari version using the CSS transformations I mentioned earlier so well done

    Can I ask you to post it on Friday? I thought that I was going to have time today but I had to sort out some problems for one of my clients. I need to work on the transparency thing and it looks broken in IE6 but I don't have time to think of a solution right now.

    What can I say Ryan? I am not perfect I used to know this stuff and I thought I still new it... but obviously, I don't anymore. Or maybe I just too tired and lack the imagination to try different solutions and get stuck with one that doesn't work.

    Nevertheless, the important thing is not that my level is not what it should be, but what I do about it and how I improve it.

    The good thing is that I am not supposed to teach you but simply to help you if I can. And that's a relief right now. My spirits are not very high at this moment

    Your entry wasn't too bad molona so don't be too down hearted I'm sure with a bit more time things would have become transparent

    @paul
    hhahaha, lol at you paul, lol at your plain jokes/tips.

    @molona
    I used to know this stuff and I thought I still new it... but obviously, I don't anymore
    your not supposed to know anything molona, its about "figuring it out", and finding out how it can be done, because i for sure didn't know that this was possible, let alone know that there can be some transparency in ie6.

    you can read paul's tips as they practically give away the answer.

    so a big thumbs up for you molona, and don't feel hard, the important thing is that you want to improve.

    Oh I am smiling... it is only that I thought I could do it. I had a brief look to the code today and I realize what was my mistake with the transparency. I didn't need the clues to know what I had to use, I already tried that way before. Still, I should have changed the values everywhere, and not simply testing one or two places. I stopped a bit too soon with that. Else, I would have concentrated in making it work for IE6.
