    Transferring domain name

My first site Top Search Today is registered at Registry Rocket (through Host Gator) and it hasn't reached a month old. If I sell my site, can I transfer the domain name? I think I saw something regarding the 3-month rule with domain names.

After that, I registered my second site through GoDaddy as I learned that you can push your domain name to someone else's account rather easily.

    Please enlighten the newbie.

    Thank you.

You'll have to check with the register to find out their policy. I believe you are not allowed to transfer a domain to another registrar within the first 60 days.

I think different registrars have different policies. I had to tranfer one of my domains and I found so many hidden obstacles...

The 60 day rule is from ICANN so registrars can't waive that else they'll lose their accreditation.

In any case you can initiate that transfer. If that is forbidden you will be informed. Good luck
