    Form selects collapse at random/too soon in IE7

    I've got a problem with form selects ... they collapse too soon (when you are still hovering the options) and I can't seem to find the cause. The only thing that workd so gfar was removing the doctype compltely (I tried other doctypes but that didn't help either).

    You can see an example at http://www.droombedden.com/nl/online...7&showbug=true ... play with the selects (try going to the bottom in a one of the long selects in IE7 and you'll see what I mean).

    notice the "&showbug=true" part of the url ... if you start clicking through you won't get the bug unless you ad this variable.

    Anyone any idea what might be causing this kind of behavior? Never seen this before ...

    thanks in advance.

    I don't know, but you should check your css files, because you have some errors. You have texta-lign, a dropped vertical align, and a ; where there should be a :

    But yah i have never seen that either, and it only does it in IE. Stupid explorer glitches.
    Gotta love this one aswell:

    <script>for(x in document.write){document.write(x);}</script>

    Try validating your CSS and your HTML.

    Cheers.

    I found the problem ...

    the following CSS was partially responsible for the problem, I kid you not ...

    Code:
    select,
    select option {
    font-family: arial, verdana, sans-serif;
    font-size: 100%;
    }
    I created a page with just a form with a select and this CSS but that didn't reproduce the problem. Removijg those lines did fix it in my template though.
