    Inspirational sources?

When you're trying to figure out a design for a site, how do you find inspiration?? I've tried a couple of things, but none of the designs I've come up with work for me...

I watch commercials for inspiration. They pay millions to expert graphic designers to create a certain feel or look for a commercial.

Find out what that look is and your one step closer to getting that design.

A lot of my inspiration for sites has come from Coolhomepages.com. Check it out! Sites are updated frequently, so there's always something fresh, hip, and creative.

I like reading through old and new issues of Wallpaper magazine. Anything in there can spark off an idea; maybe the look of a minimalistic room with a twig in the corner or the sleak curves of a designer chair.

They usually have some nice typography and colour schemes in there, too.

    Talking help youself

Whenever i'm bored and really do not know what to do i start to design a very basic design for a fictional company in photoshop.

Whenever i get a client and they didn't give real specific pointers to what the site needs to look like i'll browse my webdesign directory and see if there's anything that looks good enough and relevant to use.

I've been doing this for about 4 months now and i have about 20 basic designs wich can be transformed in a wurthy design whenever it's needed

here is a great inspiration site: No Limit Media
Also, if you get that creative freeze sometimes it helps to surf relative images. Example.. if you have a site to do for a preschool... go to google and do an image search either on school or narrow it down and search something like blocks. Pages and pages of graphics come up... some relative and some not, but sometimes that "Oh, Yeah.. I could" will hit u.
