- read the TOS/AUP before you sign up.
- remember you get what you pay for.

If the host is offering you everything including the kitchen sink for next to nothing consider that your website may not fit their business model. Obviously they wish to attract websites that consume little or no resources. Which makes sense when you're offering 1TB of disk space and bandwidth for 5.99 per month lol

If you read their TOS/AUP and find numerous terms regulating resource consumption then you know this is not the host for you. Especially when the terms suggest micro management may be their forethought.

Ouch! It'is a truly frightening. As a customer we are really a priceless.
They so haphazardly to the customer. How can a quite-well company can do this bad things.
Our position is too weak in this case. The solution is like Mitch900 said, "BACKUP & BACKUP"

I would not say "nobody", however I would agree most do not and to their own detriment. Additionally current customers (US LAW) minimally require notice of changes to TOS/AUP or any contract for that matter.

Only new customers are subject to change without notice and any company regardless of their product/service that does not honor this practice should be avoided. TOS/AUP's are contracts. Accordingly no court of law in the US will hold a party subjected to a change in the agreement liable without notice and/or a minimum of 30 days notice unless the original agreement stipulated your agreement to waive such notice. Which of course would be a red flag not to patronize said business.
