For you own domain, I'd say Wordpress wins handsdown. For a simple hosted blog, maybe blogspot though. Easy to transfer either to your own Wordpress site once you are ready to make the leap. Why not just buy a cheap domain now? Save the hassle later.

They say Wordpress ranks more in Google... well... everyone has their own opinion about it... Blogspot works for me more... I have an account in Wordpress too but find it hard using it... anyway, I am still learning it... Right now, I've been using Blogger because I find it more easy than others

If you are a noob in blogging industry, then blogger is your way! But if you have enough knowledge and skills, word press is far better especially in business field

well, if you want your own domain, use WP. no doubt about it, it'll work fine with WP.

in my experience, WP works best, I have tried Blogspot services, it is user friendly though., but WP ranks faster, that's what I thought.

Blogspot is what I am using for. I cant deny that WP is a good blog platform. too. Try to use both, experiment, and see where you find it more convenient to use.

Both are useful, but I guess google will love blogspot more than wordpress, coz blogspot is their child.

Blogspot is better for the first week. Then you out grow it and wish you started with Wordpress.

My advice is just start with Wordpress. There are lots of forums to help you learn.

I'm using both, and it seems Wordpress is better. You get more visitors and it ranks higher in the search engines than blogspot. Blogspot is easier to use, though.

I have used both the platforms and I simply love Wordpress. I find it very user-friendly and there are many utility features in there that are SEO friendly and all the more in the latest version of Wordpress 2.7 caltrone.

I have used blogger so far and I don´t complain. For beginners it´s very easy, i did not like those templates they proffer at first, then I download template from bloggertricks. All my friends are using blogger too.
