    How Is This Calendar Working?

I want to do something similar to this calendar. All it really is doing is just showing the date (as oppose to listing events or anything). I understand all the HTML and CSS that's going on but can't work out what Javascript script they are using. If it is Javascript at all? Tried using Firebug to find out but all the scripts just seem generic scripts like jquery etc

It's on the top right of the page

    Thanks for any help

They use a serverside script, but fetch some of the output of the serverside script via ajax.

Thanks for the reply. Could I just ask how you found that out, out of curiosity.

Is this something that could be done in Javascript easily? Would quite like to accomplish it now.

    Cheers

I read the html and javascript source code.

I viewed the webpage and calendar.
I saw the number 29 as one of the days in the calendar.
I viewed the source code, and searched for '29' via ctrl f.
I found it in some html markup, along with all the other days. - Now I know it is generated serverside.
Nearby in the source code, I saw two links with javascript functions attached to it. These are the previous and next links calendar controls.
I found the definition of these javascript functions(using opera browser with addon: view tidied scripts > ctrf f > replyquery)
I saw the function use ajax to retrieve more info from the serverside script.

You can search for javascript calendar if you want ideas on code.
