    IE6 Breaks, FF is fine - anyone understand?

    Hello fellow SitePointers,

    I'm having the age-old problem of my site working fine when tested in FF but when tested in IE6 the page has some obvious problems. Below is a link to the page, if you compare in the two browsers named above, the issues will be obvious to you.

    Can anyone lend some advice as to how I can get this smoothed out?

    Thank you in advance,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,
    The problem is IE6 giving a default space to the box_top div to allow for text descenders (such as the stem of a p)

    It can be fixed with overflow:hidden or font-size:0
    Code:
    .ma_box_top {
    width: 752px;
    background: url(calendartop.png) no-repeat top left;
    height: 5px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    overflow:hidden;
    font-size:0;
    }
