    Urgent: Serious WordPress/SMF integration problem

Anyone know why SMF->WordPress integration would stop working?

It's not something I've done myself. It happened to ALL of my SMF sites at once including one which I haven't touched in over six months. They're all hosted on the same service so presumably something on the server has messed it up.

It's the ssi_login and ssi_logout which aren't working. Even though I'm logged in, the site still shows a login box

Any ideas? I'm trying to move hosts right now, but I'd much rather just stay where I am if I can figure out why this has happened.

Any help greatly appreciated. Kinda freakin' out here as I've had to make a bunch of paid services freely available as they're controlled by SSI.php.

Problem solved. HostGator told me nothing had changed on the server recently.

However it turns out that they had turned magic quotes off and it was what was severely messing up my sites. No idea why they told me nothing had changed originally ...

    ryanhellyer,
BTW how did you integrated WP and SMF?
I'm going to do it soon in few days (WP 2.7 and SMF 1.1.7)
I've only found that bridge: http://gumfi.de/wordpress-251-smf-forum-bridge/

I think that's a user bridge you are looking at there. I haven't found any bridges which connect the two sets of users well at all so haven't bothered.

I've just been calling SSI.php from SMF into WordPress so that I can use the SMF function calls conditionals etc. to control my WordPress sites.

In particular I display the login system for my local ice hockey clubs forum on the home page (which is controlled by WP).

And on a template generator I made (which is powered by WordPress), I use the SMF2 paid subscription service to control what content is displayed within the template generator. Users who pay for a subscription in SMF, are displayed a few more options to choose from. Plus I've added a login box to it as well.

To do it, I just added the following to my WordPress theme:
    Code php:
    <?php require('pathto/forum/SSI.php'); ?>

Awesome. I'm been searching for a WP-SMF User Share solution for over 2 hours. Hope it works.

(once again, SitePoint to the rescue - should have started here first)
