best hosting provider for a small start-up business?

    Hi,

I am looking for a good hosting provider for a small e-commerce website. Iíll be using PHP and MySQL.

I found a good rating list of some most known hosting providers at:
    http://on-linea.com/hosting-provider...comparison.php

I was wondering if anyone knows any other good hosting providers and if you have any good suggestions for my hosting provider hunt.

    Thank you, T

I am thinking of zen-cart to save some time in coding. There are lots of modules and templates I could just edit and adapt for my needs.

Do you have any other platform suggestions?

If your web site can be moved from one host to another easily, you can afford trying a few hosts. I'd recommend Host Gator to start with.

I have been using host gator for a few years. Pretty happy. Their uptime is great. Support is good.

Zen cart have a forum with their main site and there I believe you will be able to find web hosting recommendations. As for the list of web hosting companies you mentored I think that such ones can be found somewhere else and that is mostly someone's opinion and not more.

Zen cart is a good e-commerce application and I would suggest you to use it. A "good web host" mean a lot of thing. One of the is an ability of the web hosting company to personalize customer care and support. Some people just need a reliability. But I think that most of today's web host.

The type and size of the business should be determined. There are many freewares in the internet which help in web hosting, web marketing, developing and maintaining. Zen-cart and oscommerce might serve the purpose.

I would suggest you to go with hostgator, though they are quite expensive.
