    another sql question

i just performed a db update using the cfquery tag, the code isnt realy important. is there any way of finding out how many rows i updated? im almost positive that this is a variable that cf creates for me automaticly but i cant find any references to it.

Not as far as I know. CF doesn't create any such variables - but your DB might do.

If you use SQL Server for example, and insert a new record which generates an autogenerated id (kinda like and auto-number in Access) then SQL creates a variable called @@IDENTITY which you can use in your next query.

But I don't know about any from CF.
