This afternoon the surf was up. As I did my beach walk, it was fun to watch the guys ride the waves on their boards. Here is one tired surfer having a nap with his dog standing watch.

    Doctor Will <tic>,
Great photos. I looked at your Flickr stuff and I think Silk and Steel is a beautiful piece of work you should post here.

So I've moved several hundred kilometres to the south and the weather is quite different. Living in a rural surrounds, my mood is most definitely introspective and focussed on the details.

Everything has eyes on you; you are watched everywhere you go.

In the city I get the feeling that there are eyes everywhere, but nobody cares enough to be looking.

So, this afternoon a cold front moved in. They often are showing up as straight cloud banks that stretch for miles and miles. This one really brought some very cold weather with it. I was a long way from home and had to fight my way back with the sand blasting and in the icy wind. In the second picture the waves show up nicely, the wind whipped them up. But the pelicans kept on fishing… I think the icy feel is showing up nicely.

Yes, Datura, those a both really nice but "I think the icy feel is showing up" - I looked at the weather in your area yesterday and it was a high of 58 F and sunny! That's a warm Seattle spring day. (Yeah, I know. 58 for Florida might as well be Alaska!)

    Thank you

Haha, yes, when you get away from the water it is pleasant. But right by the water, when the wind comes sweeping down from the north, there is nothing colder than that. It freezes you something awful through and through. I was the only person braving this on the beach. I think the moisture from the water combined with the wind chill does that. And do not forget that our bodies are not used to this.

Yeah, I'll turn it back on myself because the few summer days when it might actually get over 90 here, we all melt into lethargic people puddles.
