What version of Windows is best to run on a Mac?

It says it in the title, XP or Vista? Im about to purchase VMWare Fusion and thought which Windows OS would be best? Your thoughts/experience?

i would go with XP if you can still get a copy. I run it under Bootcamp and there are few quirks, but not enough to be that much of a hassle (I run it as my primary OS).

Considering the issues I have heard with Vista in general, running a buggy oS under another OS may be more trouble than you need.

Go with XP, just because it's smaller and lighter on your system's resources.

From what I have heard Vista is a lot less buggy and a lot faster than XP so you might want to consider that.

Most people comparing them are comparing the original Vista from before SP1 which fixed up all the issues they mention.
